• Calling All Super Fans...

Are you a super fan of Ellie's books? Do you want to help boost and support an indie author?

If so, you can sign up for the Ellie Finch street team!

Members of the street team are asked to do a bit of work getting the word out about Ellie's books. This can include writing up a blog post if you have a blog, sharing pre-made graphics to Twitter around a new book release, posting a picture on your Instagram, leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads, and other similar activities. You will be asked to take some regular monthly action to help share the books. The time requirements will be minimal and the asks will be clear and flexible.

In exchange, you get exclusive stuff! Everyone who commits to the street team will receive (permitted, you are comfortable sharing your mailing address), a handwritten thank you card, a signed bookplate, a set of hand-poured Royal Rendezvous candles, and a limited edition Royal Rendezvous crown necklace. You will also, over time, get fun perks that might include: naming a character in one of Ellie's upcoming books, sneak peaks of covers, giving input on cover or character design, first to read pre-releases, badges and stickers, and more.

Note: the street team sign-up is different from the normal newsletter sign-up. If you are interested in getting news about books, hearing updates from the author, and reading the free short story, regular newsletter sign-up is the best way to do it!

  • Qualifications

What are the qualifications to be on Ellie's street team? They're simple!

    Be a super fan

It is important that the people who want to help boost Ellie's books actually love her books. No one will ever be asked to lie or give a fake positive review--if you dislike a book, no hard feelings! But the goal of the street team is to share love of Ellie's books and get them to new readers. If you have read a bunch of her books and loved the stories, the characters, and her writing style, then you will probably vibe with future books too! People who genuinely adore books are the best champions of them. That's the right fit for the street team!

Have a book-ish social media presence

Any social media platform is fine. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, TikTok, your own blog, whatever! So long as you have a platform where you regularly (or at least sometimes) share books you're reading. If people follow you because they love reading and they want to see the pretty book stack photos you take for Instagram, or hear your hot takes on hot heroes on Twitter, or anything else book-related, great! Any social media presence that can reach readers is perfect.

Commit to posting one to three times per month

Members of the street team will be asked to post regularly on their social media platforms to help spread the word about Ellie's books. Sometimes posts will be coordinated around a new release with pre-provided graphics, and sometimes the posts will be completely creative and at your own discretion. Materials, including suggestions for post ideas and shareable graphics, will be provided. The time commitment is minimal and the rules are pretty chill, but all street team members will be asked to meet the minimum monthly posting requirement.

Abide by the group code of conduct

Members of the street team will be asked to abide by a code of conduct in the private group chat and while promoting Ellie's books. No hate speech will be tolerated in the group. Ellie tries to live by these truths: Black lives matter; trans people are the gender they say they are; all members of the LGBTQIA+ family are valid; consent is necessary. If you disagree with these values and post content antithetical to them on your social media, then you are not the right fit for the street team.
